Brandon is a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 2001 in multiple settings. His previous practice consisted of child, adolescents, and adults in the Memphis, TN area. Brandon has joined Righteous Oaks Counseling and will provide medication management for clients 18 years and older. His special interest includes mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and gay/lesbian issues. Although his preference is medication management, he also does limited cognitive and brief therapy. His love for mental health guides his practice, and allows coaching of his clients to achieve their potential. Through a combination of medications and therapy, he gives the clients the tools needed to assist them to develop their individual treatment plan. His focus remains on crisis intervention, plan establishment, and success attainment in collaboration with his clients.
Brandon is a dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Tennessee and Mississippi. His knowledge of medicine and mental health allows him to attack illness with a holistic approach.
Born and raised in Waynesboro, TN, he spent most of his childhood in southern middle TN. He relocated to undergraduate in Jackson, TN while attending Union University School of Nursing. He later moved further west to complete his graduate and post-graduate education at University of Tennessee, Memphis. Now, he has moved back to make this his home. His professional memberships include board certification by ANCC as Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. Also he is a member of American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and Tennessee Nurses Association. His outside interests include social activities, outdoor activities, and his dog Buckley.
